Only a few select captive breeding have occured. There is much more to understand on this species.  Top health and understanding is the importance of this site and breeding would just mean you did all of the above correctly and they fullfilled there complete life event cycle. As pictured above Jeff has proven they can breed at a young age and size of 13"sv. This occured the third week in Febuary 2004 a few weeks out of hibernation. And my pair seem to be on the same clock as there breeding began shortly after.

Seems color change in the female indicated ovulation, she turned a red hue like her tail.
